What is therapy?


Therapy is a safe place to sit with your own thoughts and feelings. This is a rare opportunity in our busy lives as we usually rush from place to place. This time allows you to begin to sort out what you think and feel about things in your life. It is like taking a jumbled ball of twine and laying it out so you can see each strand. The jumbled ball is a combination of many things including your history, your personality, your relationships, and your life as you are living it now. Seeing things more clearly helps you to make choices and decisions that will work for you. Our job as therapists is to help you in this process.
